Winter Pine and Crooked Log Cabin
I plan to make a winter lap quilt. I made four "Winter Pine Tree's" and four of the "Crooked Log Cabin's".
Two of the cabins will have doors on the left and the other two will have the door's on the right.

January 2012 Block of the Month - Astrick Block
I had to make this block twice. I didn't cut the block down to size correctly the first time, but I like this fabric pattern better than the first one..

Asterick Block
Hello All,
Well today I tried the Asterisk block and realized my tool shortage had put me at a disadvantage. In order to do this block I am going to have to invest in a 12x12 inch ruler.
So since I was at a standstill with 2012 blocks, I moved on to cutting the strips for the Wacky block (January 2012-block 2) and the material needed for January 2013 block.
Well that didn't take very long, so with all the time I had on my hands I decided to cut fabric for English Paper Piecing quilting. I thought this would be a great sewing project whenever I go places. It's like knitting but better. :)
If you would like to know the history of English Paper Piecing, I have attached a link that gives a brief history.

Offset Log Cabin - January 2013 Block of the Month
The fabric with the pattern will be there center and the other two fabric pieces will be surrounding the patterned fabric. I may add another fabric, but I will give it more thought before I cut and sew.
Wonky Pound Sign - January 2nd block of the month 2012
I will have the fabric cut tomorrow, but it will be a few days before this block will be sewn.
The background fabric will be the solid black fabric and the multi colored fabric will be the pound sign.

Foundational Paper Piece Block 1
Wow.......... block one didn't start very well; in fact I had to chunk it. The next day I started over again and believe me I was nervous. I took my time, prayed alot and was successful with the second try.

Goals for 2013
Well it's 2013 and time to make new goals. I have a list of four things I would like to accomplish for 2013.
First and foremost is to have a healthier eating plan. So far I have been very successful; thanks to SkinnyTaste.com.
Second: I would like to do 165 days of foundational paper piecing. There are at least 300 different foundational paper piecing patterns, but I am going to keep it real and not put a lot of stress on something I enjoy doing.
Third: Craftsy 2012 Block of the Month. I signed up for this back in October 2012, but was never able to do any of the blocks. This Block of the Month was offered free on Craftsy.
Fourth: Craftsy 2013 Block of the Month. This class has a new instructor that has brought a new style to this block of the month.
